New to birding? A hotspot is a public birding location tracked on eBird. A checklist is one birder's report of a visit. A lifer is a species you have never seen before. Notable (rare) means eBird flagged the sighting as unusual for that place and season.

Requires a free eBird API key to access hotspot data.
